Shipping Crates to Coop - Day 7

So far so good with our Shipping Crates to Coop Project. Walls are almost completely up. Window ($12 from craigslist) is installed, front doors on on. Some painting has been done, simply because I just couldn't stand to not see how it would look with the colors I chose. Below are a few pics of the process so far. The next few days and this weekend we will be digging the trenches to bury the wire for the run and starting the run structure itself. Then we will be bribing the grandkids to help us get it all back to the spot we've chosen in the yard and putting the roof on the whole thing, which will be made of Ondura. I pick the chicks up on Monday. Yay!

We have done crates to coops too. There are many neat things to make from them.

Yep, my wheels are turning with ideas. I think we're gonna have to get more to build a shed to keep everything in we need for the chickens!
