You can go to www.usps.com and get a shipping quote for overnight express.You paid way to much for your shipping box and your shipping cost is way to hi.You will need the zip code to where you are shipping to.Estimate a weight,I'd say 5 lbs should be more then enough.Always ship birds with a piece of fruit that is not too juicy.So they have food and it gives them moister.I use apple for pheasants.For the kinda money you've invested you could have bought a flock of doves.Or there are 1000's of them wild in Tx and they hunt them.

make sure they have a number that they can call so you can pickup birds first thing when they arrive at post office also call post office and tell them to expect them and call again monday tuesday best days to ship

I shipped my dove from Corning, CA to Weatherford, TX and it took less than two days for him to get there. I got a call from the Post Office around 9 in the morning on the second day saying my bird had arrived.
