Will my hatch rate go down dramaticly getting shipped eggs from a warm weather state like Florida to a cold state like Indiana. Should I wait for warmer weather?

I would have to say that over all, winter shipping can reduce hatchability.
Having said that, I buy a majority of my eggs from late summer to early spring.
The most successful hatches I have during the winter is based on three important factors.

1. Sellers reputation. Read the feed back on here or E Bay.
2. The way the seller packages the eggs.
3. When they ship the eggs out.
Mon and Tues. are the best times to ship eggs. ( This way you have your eggs in 3 days or less)
The reason is, if the eggs get to the PO for the weekend, it adds more time on the delivery.
Also be aware of postal holidays when there is no delivery.

I have hatch rates of 40%-80% on winter hatches, Sping and Summer are as high as 90%. On shipped eggs.
