Shipping to Palau

I’ve raised chickens for years and was wondering if anyone knew of a hatchery that will ship hatching eggs to Palau. We use the USPS and have s US zip (96940) and are near Guam. A Guam or Hawaii or West Coast of the USA hatchery would be ideal. I know eggs will survive as we had friends who hatched 48 when we lived on another remote tropical Pacific island.

Better check with Dept of Ag and restrictions. Had a friend purchase fertile eggs from eBay, only to get a letter from the Dept of Ag stating there is a fine of $250K plus a year in jail when not going through proper channels. She cancelled the order, how they/Dept of Ag found out, we have no clue.

Had a friend purchase fertile eggs from eBay, only to get a letter from the Dept of Ag stating there is a fine of $250K plus a year in jail when not going through proper channels. She cancelled the order, how they/Dept of Ag found out, we have no clue.

You bring up some really good points. My rudimentary knowledge is that the sellers need to be NPIP certified to ship through USPS. And there are varying regulations for eggs vs chicks. Looks like Meyer Hatchery also ships to Guam.

Just like the idea I had of bringing back (NPIP) fertile eggs from VA. I cleared it with TSA and even had a Supervisor saying she'd meet me at the terminal to process me. I cleared with with the Airlines that I could hand carry. Cleared it with Dept of Ag so I thought. Booked my flight then get an email from Dept of Ag that my return flight NEEDS to go through Honolulu International and the eggs need to be inspected. Therefore I had to make sure my flight arrived during their working hours. I had to scrap the whole idea cause my return flight was through LAX.

I don't get it, how do you "inspect" fertile eggs? Dirty or clean? Stinky? I was so upset cause I really wanted SiAMs. It's frustrating living on an Island. Even when purchasing things, you need to ask "free shipping to 50 States or only Continental"

Those are SO COOL! I spent like 2 hours last night reading the early pages of that first thread. Amazing birds. Well worthy of the hoop jumping to try and bring home.
