not sure which board this would fall under, but.......

is it possible or feasible to ship full grown birds?
 
Yep, folks do it all the time. I see them shipped a lot with cut up oranges for something to eat that'll keep them hydrated during their trip through the postal service.
 
It can be. First you need an approved shipping box, such as this: http://www.hm-e.net/ to ship them in. Then the bird(s) must be sent USPS Express Mail only. Depending on the box weight and distance to be traveled it can be costly. I've sent some that were as low as $55, some as much as $250.

Also, just because they are going Express does not mean they will definitely arrive the next day. Sometimes it can take 2.
