Shoo Flies Don't Bother My Hens!!!!!

I am having some serious issues with flies in my chicken coop. I'm in Italy and the summer days here are incredibly hot! What can I do to ward off all of these flies? The coop doesn't smell bad and I clean it twice a week. They dont seem to bother the hens but they are annoying and I just hate flies with a passion!

However, can flies create health hazards for my chickens, like in their water and food? Thanks in advance!

Hello there! Here in Ohio, we have these things called fly strips that work great. Also, what do you use for bedding? We use pine shavings. The only thing the flies are truly attracted to is the poop. I found that sand works great in the chicken run, and you can rake up the poop easily. Also, if you garden and have mint around, cut some and hang that in bunches in the coop and around the run. That sometimes helps.
