Hello! I am a new duck owner. Over the pandemic me and my wife decide to get pet ducks. We got two from the local farm store, hoping both were females, but to our suprise we got one male ancona (marty) and one female cyuga (Bernadette). The males aggression made us worry after the first year or so just because of the amount of feathers he was plucking from our female. So we work with a woman who has a farm with many ducks and she agreed to give us a female in hopes it would take some of the aggression off of being just aimed at our female.

Jump to peg (we think is an ancona runner mix?) our new addition to the family. She has had a horribly rough time being integrated. We have periodically seperated and reintegrated her with the other two but no matter what the other two gang up and pick on her. So still not sure how to fix that but we can keep doing what were doing if nessicary.

Now here's where my problem comes in. My females have both just been in there laying season, Bernadette laying one a day and peg laying two (possibly because she came from a farm that was giving them feed cut 50/50 with layer feed). But as of the past few weeks they have stopped laying, however, peg, everytime we let her into the yard she sprints to a spot where she was laying and doesn't leave it until they are put back in there house. When I get home she paces the front of the cage till I let her out and she goes to her spot. She only started doing this about three weeks ago which is strange to me. Shes been laying for months with no problem laying them in diffrent spots and only in the past three weeks has she had this routine of going to her spot. Also when she first started doing this my other two ducks would every once and a while go and mess with her and kick her from her spot, but now everytime I go out for the past week the other two are sitting docile in front of her (almost looking like they are guarding her) and even they seem like they are are being more docile all of the sudden. Should I be worried?Could this be a sign of somthing being wrong and the other two ducks can tell which is why there leaving her alone and guarding her?Or is she just brooding in a diffrent way?

Peg is slightly visible in very bottom closest to window. Bernadette and marty sleeping in front of her.

I expect it is waning hormones affecting your ducks' behavior. Certainly the more mellow behavior of Marty and Bernadette.
I don;t know why Peg has taken a liking to the corner that she is sitting in, but she must feel secure there
