My RIR is starting to hatch her eggs. That's the good news. The problem is, she's 4 feet off the ground and two of the chicks are dry and looking like they might try to leave the box.
Think I should grab the chicks while the others are hatching or will moma take care of it?

I sure am glad I found this forum.

Wait till tonight and move the whole box down to the ground.
I say tonight because that way the momma wont freak out.

Oh I would have lowered her nest to the ground before she started hatching. Hope fully the momma will care for them.

Thanks guys. I Feel like a dope for not thinking of that myself. I was thinking I would move brood to another box when the time came. Didn't figure differant hatch times.
