Should I be worried

Our white leghorn (16weeks) laid her first egg on the 13th. She didn't lay the 14th (which I figured) she laid on the 15th and late in the day on the 16th. She hasn't laid another egg since. I know she is not goind to lay daily or every other day until she adjusts but is it normal to go 5 days with now egg? They are kept in a large coop with a large run if that helps.

She is most likely getting her body "tuned in" ... I wouldn't worry unless she becomes egg-bound.

How can you tell if they get egg-bound? We are new to all of this

Finally got another egg today after 5 days of nothing I am guessing it was from the same leghorn. The other leghorn looks and acts like she is ready. So who knows but at least I got another egg. Some of my RIR are getting red combs and a lot more noisy and one of my EE. I can't wait to get my first brown egg. We have 9 all together bought 10 but one turned out to be a rooster which we can't have here.

My RIR did the same thing, she layed her first egg and it was a whole week until I got the second one (which was just on Friday) she has now layed 5 more eggs in the last six days! I think they just have to get things rolling and they will get more productive =)
