I have BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should I buy a baby Mallard duckling to live with my baby Wood Ducklings??
Last year I only had one hatch (5eggs) and it died after 5 days.... I figured a new baby duck would teach them how to eat and drink after I take them from momma and put them in the brooder. Should I take all the babies from her or let her raise one or two?? I can't see how many are there, maybe 4 or 5. I'm hopeful for a few more today, as she laid 11 eggs........

Congratulations!

I wish I knew the answer, but I wanted to welcome you to the Duck Forum, and do a little oohing and aaahing over the littles

They are adorable, but why wouldn't mama teach her babies? they have been doing this stuff a lot longer than us.
