Should i buy them?

I have 3 male ducks and found someone with 2-3 month old female Khaki campbell and khaki campbell crosses for $7 a piece. Can 2-3 month old ducks go outside with the older ducks? And would you buy them? (I already know the answer to that one

Hmmmm. Right now three males, no females. Any behavior troubles at this point?

A friend of mine had two muscovy males who were friends - until she brought home four female runners. She has kept them separated due to the likelihood that the large heavily clawed muscovies would seriously injure (at least) the runners mating them. The drakes started fighting once females were introduced to the household.

If you introduce only two females, I can see that we now have competition between the males. A recommended number of females to males I have seen is minimum three to one. So if you are getting females, that would be nine.

Drakes can really abuse ducks and if there are only two females, I would be concerned for their safety.

Also, what breed are the drakes?

I will only get three and seperate them in a "breeding pen" so they will all be happy. I will put them together only with my supervision and when they are free ranging so hopefully they wont fight as much. I have 2 Welsh Harlequin (young) males and one fawn and white runner duck. so can 2-3 month old females be in with older males?

I'm not sure, but if anything it wouldn't be very long until they could, so if you could keep them seperated for a month or so more, or just make intros slowly and watch carefully I would go for it!
