Came across this posting on Craigslist. 8-week old straight run mixed-breed chicks.
They are selling for $4 each, said they are very healthy. I asked what breeds were used in the cross, and they don't know other than a BR, as they bought them from a hatchery and weren't told the other half.
Are these Black Sex Links? I have my doubts since there are white markings on the solid black birds' faces.
They have 40 of them. Is that a good deal? Are they easy to tell apart by comb size at this age? I bought a bunch of BSL from Tractor Supply and got all males.
Don't want that again if these are just all BSL.
Any ideas? (obviously the red one isn't a BSL)
Thanks in advance!

Chicken math is definitely hitting me at this point. I just LOVE the thought of a really diverse flock.
