Should I check the eggs??

The day before yesterday, I saw one of my rouen's eggs starting to pip. But, as of now, still no baby ducklings as far as I can tell.....Should I remove the mother from the nest and check things out? She has never been too friendly, and of course, is extremely skiddish now that she has been broody. I thought the duckling should be out of shell by now. She already hatched two chicks that my chickens had snuck in her nest !! That was about a week ago. What should I do ??

I would check them. You should toss any infertile eggs before they start to weep, and make sure the babies are doing ok.
