Should I get hens for my rooster?

Getting adult hens is a wonderful idea. And it is a lot of fun to watch them. They will be hard on your backyard plantings, if they are out all day.

This is step 2 in chicken math, more is better... it is a dangerous slope. How much space do you have?

I'm not sure what the exact measurements are... looks like maybe 1200 sq feet. Not much for humans and pets.

yeah. if i end up with a roo(we just got 6 chicks) what should I do? If I do end up with a roo, should I just separate him from the flock and give him a stuffed animal?

I don't think so. Just make sure that you collect eggs every day to avoid getting more chicks.
