I have Muscovy duck eggs in my incubator and today is day 36 and none hatched yesterday when i went to check on them this morning there was one with its shell starting to push out and i was very happy. But when i got back from church he had only made a tiny hole and it hasn't progressed since and he been at it fro eight hours what do i do.

Did you candle the other eggs? sometimes, depending on where they were situated in the incubator,,they may be later than other's..

We waited five days after the hatch date and that was the only one but yes we had candelas them the day before lockdown and they were all in the eggs but the fifth day after we cracked them opened and they were all dead

I have the same problem. Yesterday was day 28 of incubating my cayuga duck eggs. I had twenty but only two hatched

Some of the other eggs look like they r still alive but just haven't even internally pipped yet so should i help them by making a hole and opening the membrane or should i wait?
