My Welsh lays an egg a day.... her first four weren’t fertile but now our Rouen is mating with her. We put about 9 in incubator because she seems to take little interest in them. Well now she is at least laying them kind of near each other. One is 6 feet from the other 3. I’ve left those. We have a variety of predators. Also eggs not in ideal spot. Should I just take those and incubate them or put them on my property all together and see if she sits on them? Or leave um? please help!

What are you wanting her to do with them? Are you wanting her to go broody? They won't sit on eggs unless they are in the mood to hatch ducklings. You can't force it.

If you want to eat, incubate, or sell the eggs, collect them. If you leave them where they are, they will eventually rot or attract predators.

I want all of it😄
I mostly want to repopulate the pond/lake that my house sits on. I miss seeing the ducks we use to have. I want to take some to incubate... and have her sit and nest...I don’t want to mess her up. I’ve been incubating to make sure I get a few of her ducklings hatched. I’m concerned because the 3/4 I have left the past few days are all near the water and 1-2 spread 6 feet apart. Will she sit on a few or wait till she gets multiple before she builds nest and sits?
I’m also realizing we have large turtles that are trying to take the ducks under... ughhhh.

So when is it normal for her to sit. After first egg? A few then she will start to build nest or when she is completely done laying? She has basically payed 4-5 and not sit on any yet. No nest.
