Should I move them? Will the Others Hatch Too?

I have a hen who has been sitting on some duck eggs for quite a while now. Before she sat on them, our female duck was sitting on them. We have no idea when she started brooding the eggs.

We figured nothing would come of it (even though we have a drake) because the duck was pretty inconsistent about sitting on them and there was a little gap before the hen started to brood on them. We were just about to put an end to it when yesterday morning I saw a little duckling head pop out of the hens feathers peeping!

There are three more eggs under her that have yet to hatch. If they are no good, will the hen stop sitting on them?

It is fairly cold in the coop. About mid-50's and it's a damp rainy week.

I am concerned about the duckling(s) being too cold to venture out to the food and water. Should I be concerned?

I want to move them to an extra large dog crate in my garage which is warmer. Can I move the hen, the duckling and the three eggs in the middle of the night? Or should I wait another 24 hours to see if the other eggs hatch first?

How long should I give the other eggs a chance to hatch? Should I trust the hens judgement if she keeps sitting on them?

We've never hatched our own birds before and neither has our hen.

Thanks for your help.

I wouldn't move them until the hen starts moving around, herself. Hens will sit on the eggs a few extra days, but then leave when she believes the eggs won't hatch.

I don't know much about ducks, but I believe that, with chicks, they have about three days of food in their system when they hatch, so they can stay in the nest for a few days without food/water, and I would assume ducks are the same way. I'd leave them where they are until either the ducklings hatch, or mamma decides to move them...
