I have a mamma duck sitting on 6 eggs that are due to hatch on Thursday. She is in with other calls (not separated) should I just go in and remove the eggs now before they start to hatch??? Will the other calls attack the babies when they are hatching????? Will mamma attack the babies (this is her first time hatching)????

Thank you for the help!!!

Hope its not too late. From my experience with Calls, I would leave them be, let momma duck hatch them. She will protect them and mother them, motherly instincts kick in. The other Calls should be fine with the ducklings. AFTER they are hatched keep a close eye on them for awhile just to make sure, but I don't think you will have any problems.

Hope to see some pics! Good luck.

Thank you! I was not sure if they should be separated like chickens. They are all in a community pen so I was worried......

No pipping yet, but hatch day is Thursday so I am just keeping a close eye on them for now.

I'll get pics as soon as I can!
