I just found a cache of 14 eggs under the nest box behind a half empty feed bag I put there 2 weeks ago. I have 4 hens that might be laying. Temps have been as low as the teens. The coop is not insulated and their water was freezing until we made the cookie tin water heater. The eggs are not cracked.
OK to use for baking?
I was wondering why all of a sudden they weren't hardly laying!!!!!!!!

If its as cold as a fridge out there I would use them-do the float test-if they float they are bad-if they sink eat away!!

My aunt used to just break each egg into a saucer before adding it to whatever she was cooking. If the egg looks OK, it's OK.
