should I use metal or wood posts for wire?

Hello,

I need to decide between wood or metal posts for pen structure. Which one stands in the ground without concrete?

I work with metal pipe, it stands in the ground without concrete, wood on the other hand is allot more harder to work with. Also you can weld wire onto metal pipe so the wire is as tight as a piece of plywood.

Thank you, do yiu know how much in the ground they should go? And how about some braces between them to keep stable?

You can weld braces inbetween them, I never have had to, they are pretty stable but it is a good idea. You should at least go 1 foot in the ground, further than 18 inches would be an overkill.
