Should I worry?

When I was wiping her , I noticed that one of my day old chicks has what looks like a puncture on her bum. It looks like it is scabed over but I am worried. I can't figure how it happened, mabye while hatching?

Are you sure you weren't looking at what was left of the umbilical cord?

Is that what it is!? Because I was just cleaning them again and noticed more than one have the same thing. I just never realized they have umbilical cords. Well, you learn something new everyday. I feel dumb

same deal here, thought it was an injury/scab/pasting, but did some reading, and found it'll fall off sometime on its own.

Oh of course, when I thought it was a puncture I was wondering whether I needed to put ointment on it.
