Hi!!!
Should I get some runner ducks? Can yall tell me about them? I've wanted some for so long! Are they friendly? How much room do they need? Can yall tell all about them? Thanks!

I don't know much about ducks other than I'm going to the feed store to get some this morning once they open (duck shipment gets in today) and we're going to get runners. I've heard that runners are very good layers and just have wonderful personalities, besides what could be a better name for an upright walking drake than Mr. Peabody?

I love my Runners, but mine are not friendly. Both the females that I have had have been pretty bold, especially when hungry! The will walk right up to me, stand in front of me and quack at me. Then I reach towards them and they take off like I was a going to murder them. My drake is skittish too, and pretty standoffish. But I got mine as adults, so if you start with ducklings you will probably fare better than I did. They are EGGcellent layers though!
