So I just found a robin egg while I was walking and brought it home. Should I let my dove sit on it to warm it up?

I would not let her try to hatch it... if it hatched what would you do with the baby bird? A dove can not raise a robin chick.. robin chicks need insects and invertebrates to grow.. doves only eat seeds...

They also feed their young differently.... dove squabs feed by plunging their beaks down into the adults crop and the mother regurgitates the food to the chick.

Robin chicks feed by opening their beak and begging for food.. where the parent will place food into the chicks mouth for it to swallow.

Hand raising a baby bird like a robin is very time consuming.. and where are you going to get the correct food for it.. you will also need a brooder for it and its a 24/7 job day and night to take care of it. If it goes without feed for only over an hour it can die as they have such fast metabolism.

My ringnecks have raised jays sparrows quial etc n they are eager feeders throwing up feed even then the baby quail ate, but they sit different n can smother etc other bird young or destroy eggs.
