hey guys! do you guys think my ducks are still too young to live outside? i’ll add an attachment to show how big they are. i’ve been letting them go outside and play for a few days but i’m not sure if they’re completely ready to live the rest of their lives outside

Whats your weather like? Whats the temp at night? Pics of your coop set up? Pic of your brooder set up?

i live in louisiana and we have our heat days. for the past few of them, the sun has been out and hopefully it’ll stay that way. i would say it’s humid day and night. i haven’t ordered a coop yet because i don’t want to purchase one if they’re too young to be outside and my brooder is just a large rubbermaid container that they’re out growing quicker than i thought they would

How old are they? They look like they have much in the way of feathering. If it were me I would wait a week or so more for feathering to start leaving them outside full time. So they are almost ready once feathers start coming in well. Usually 5-6 weeks about in really nice weather like you ahve there.

What are your daytime/nighttime temps averaging? If you provide them with a heat source and a draft-free area they can go outside.
