Should my Turkey be so sleepy?

Here, there, and everywhere...
I have a 1 week old Bronze Turkey poult who seems to nod off quite a bit, like whenever you put him down somewhere if you're holding him (like place him on the desk, he lays right down and closes his eyes, etc.) and he'll try to doze in your hands as well. Is this normal? He does peep and kick his little legs and seems just as active as normal in the brooder.
Strange little guy...

You are Momma to him. He's going to relax in a place he feels protected. Baby turkeys can get awfully snuggly.

Oh man just what I needed to hear... Something else for me to go and get attached to (mind you, as I'm typing this the little guy is snuggling in my cleavage! LOL)

Will he get aggressive as he gets older like a Rooster or are Turkeys different?
He's supoosed to be Thanksgiving dinner but if it keeps up like this he might end up being a guest and not on the table!!! Darn my mushy heart...
Thanks

This scared me too at first. I went and got some baby turkeys, and had them in their brooder. They would look at me and talk to me then one of them just dropped it's head and it made the "thud" sound as it hit the floor. I thought something was wrong but it had just passed out and was sleeping.

I think it is normal for them. Our White Holland did it quite often. We would have him in the house or out in the yard, no matter where we were he would just "pass out" and drop his head and go to sleep. We worried about it too with our first one.

We got him some friends and he did it less often. He also did it much less as he got older.
