show chicken's tail feathers

hey, im an ffa student and my silver laced polish's tail feathers are not long and pretty as they should be. the feathers rub up on the roof of her laying boxes so the are all frayed, they arent as bad as some in my coop but still need them to get full and beautiful agian before the fair in april. So, what do i do?

How old is she?
Hopefully she'll molt and grow some new pretty ones before April for you.

Get bigger nests?

@aart she is one and a half and we can't get a bigger nesting boxes no room in the run for bigger ones
