Hi everyone. Lets see how old are your chickens are, are they laying and what breed do you have? I have 3 girls. Buff Orphington, Barrred Plymoth Rock and a Gold sex-link. they are pretty girls. there are no egg activity yet but the buff (Kayla) and Gold (Bella) are 3 months old and my BR (Sunny) is 2 weeks shy of 3 month.. but excited and ready to see some eggs soon. :)

This is Sunny as a chick with my daughter

here are the other 2 girls at about 3 weeks with my oldest son

Kayla... wouldn't let me take a good photo of her and Bella in the back lol

this is my little flock I have all silkies. The blue is lacy and she will be a year in August. She is lead hen and yes she's laying.the black is Milly. She is 7 months old and just came into lay.the two " twins" are partridge color and there names are Betty and Wilma.Wilma has the bigger crest. They are 6 months old and neither are laying just yet. they haven't shown signs yet so I'm thinking next month for them to come into lay.I hope you like my little flock. They bring me great joy and I love them so much! I will be showing the blue lacy in November. These girls are ALL precious to me :) hope you like the picture :)

Aww they are pretty. i love the twns he eh such pretty colors. These are my first little flock. and I'm only allow to have 4 in my location but just got the three one for each of my children. I wish mine would hurry up and lay heheh ready for them too. Everytime I go in the coop they just chatter. ( broock bok bok ) real loud.

How sweet! Before you know it they will start to lay! What I noticed with mine was right before they started to lay they would start squatting for me
Also they would practice building little nests. then they would get really loud and then the eggs came! Every chicken is different I know with my silkies I can expect them to start around 6 or 7 months old. My ' twins" are six months but I have a feeling they won't lay until month 7. Because they just are not showing any signs of readiness yet. I raised them from chicks! Its amazing how fast they grow! Enjoy your birds I'm certain they will bring great joy to you and your children! I know mine do! It's amazing how much I love them! They are my precious girls! Best wishes for you and your beautiful flock! They are very lovely! Have fun with them :)

Thx realsis. Yes I kno the suspense! Hahha but its ok. I've waited this long. I could go a lil longer. :) yes my children more of my oldest two love them. My youngest.. not soo much hah. If its not me.. its my husband. Either one of us keeps going to check on the chickens. He said sunny was laying around. And then got up and started nesting in her nest box yet she's the youngest of them all.. go figure but again only yime will tell.
