Meet Daphne. Daphne is two years old. She has a sister, Margery, who is a Pekin. Margery would like to know that she’s not the only Rouen in the world. So, show us your Rouens!

Daphne is her sister’s boss. She’s very chatty, and she’s obsessed with swimming (far more than Margery). She can fly almost 3 feet when truly excited, and she adores mealworms. When swimming, Daphne likes to dive under the water and surprise her sister (not hard to do) by bobbing up right in front of her. Daphne sometimes wishes she had Rouen sisters (and she might in the future), because she doesn’t feel like Margery is up to her level intellectually.

Now, she feels as though she really is the only Rouen in the world. Come on, share your pictures and your stories! I will say that, after reading another post on the subject, I’ve been intrigued by the differences in my American Utility Rouen (she deserves a fancier label than “Utility Rouen”, by the way) and the Australian Rouens.

aww such cuties..

This is Gabby, and Gabby is a boy.. (bad habit of naming before i know for sure LOL)
He is 3-4 months old, The leader of the ducks and the one that always comes first to nibble on me, Him and Zeke (yes Zeke is a Girl lol my Runner)
like to put their bills in my armpit and wiggle back and forth, weirdos lol

As with most ducks he isn't a fan of being loved up on, but if I do have to pick him up he is pretty relaxed and lets me smooch him on the head.

He has suddenly started getting a green stripe behind his eye like he is a glam rock duck ha.

that might of been on my post, because I didn't know there was difference either, now I am worried Gabby might be a Mallard or a duck that will fly away on me..

I love your little lady's name Daphne

Gabby is a very handsome duck! At what age will his color fully change?
