Im very glad you posted your pics as well Tony. Hers why. Ill tell yall kinda a funny story . Years ago when I first started to keep birds my best bird buddy gave me some young lewis silver's chicks. I didnt know much about the different types of pheasants at that time let alone knowing there was two different type of silvers. Anyway I liked the birds and as they got older in a couple years I never could understand why the male didnt get more whiter in color than all the ones I had mostly ever seen. He kept both kinds but I thought his lewis I saw were just some immature birds So I gave em back to him and asked if i could trade for some of his red goldens or lady Amhearst's instead, Get it?

I eventually did get some silvers like De Wet's and kept them as well. Anyway, needless to say I didnt know what I had at the time. I appreciate BOTH nowdays!

There are actually 13 subspecies of silvers according to Delacours book.

Here's the species that Delacour book list:anamese,bels,berloiz bloven,fokien,hainan,jones,lao,lewis rippons,ruby mines,szechwan,true,and western.
There is a guy in Vietnam that has jones, but he is the only person I know that has them.I'm sure there are many breeders out there that have them.I would love to have a pair of jones myself.
