Don't worry, its not a silly question. Many breeds of Sussex are listed as rare in America e.g speckled and the black Sussex but as I live in Sussex in England they are extremely common. If I go onto a American breed list many of the breeds that are very common here are listed as a rarity in America e.g some bantams breeds or dorkings and many more.I agree. They are the most stunning coloration out of our little herd. This may be a weird question, but are they less common than other chicken breeds? Some sites I see list them as semi-rare, but I thought that they were common. Or do you think that this is just a regional thing that they are common. Living in Ohio, EVERYONE has Buckeye chickens, but, apparently, they are hard to come by.
