My girls just laid their first beautiful, but small, dark terracotta eggs! (My friends who also raise chickens fell in love the color and now have added this breed to their wishlist!) . I will post a pic when I get a chance, but until then, let see some that your ladies laided!

Are the egg color is what you see on the monitor? IMO, they are a bit light! Hope it is just the flash!

Sometimes pictures don't do the egg shell colors justice! Not to mention, frustrating to get the exact color!

My phone is a dinosaur and doesn't take great pics, but yes, they were a bit darker. They also aren't from high quality lines either, but from a hatchery (Purely Poultry). I no longer have these beautiful birds because I am moving but plan to get a stock from good lines instead from a commerical hatchery.
