Well I think it is actually a "showboy".. He is really more black in RL with just some partridge coloring on his wing tips. Such a friendly bugger.

I have both heterozygous and homozygus.

He is the results of a homozygous white showgirl rooster on a partridge silkie. So he is heterozygous. I have one other partridge chick, I lost the only white one I had

Oops, he is 7 weeks old, not 6 weeks old.

I really like the white showgirls. Black is my next favortie color. Most of the showgirl babies that I have are for sale. Although the temps here are still in the upper 90's and it is too hot to ship. But when it starts to get cooler, let me know if you are interested in some white ones. I have them ranging in age from 3 months to 2 days old. I just love them!

Thank you peepsnbunnies...very tempting offer! This hatch was a test run for a friend, it was not as good as we had hoped but her hens were still young.

She is brooding a second set now, so time will tell. I like the white best too, but I never realized just how sweet silkies and showgirls are.....they are too friendly, definately a lap chicken. I feel a split in my Polish loyality coming on....oh no.
