Soon I will be showing my splash silkie bantam, Flufferfeet, at the fair!!! But I need anyone and everyones help to help me get ready. If u could, please ask me a question that they would ask at a fair!!! Also can someone tell me how to wash a chicken for fair??? Thank u for ur help (if ur helping).

Are you showing as a junior through FFa or 4H? Or as an adult or independent?

Washing your chicken is pretty easy. Soapy water in one bucket, clean water in a 2nd (some like to add a splash of vinegar), and clean water in a 3rd. Wash in first bucket and then rinse in the other two. Blow dry or air dry. Make sure nails and beaks are trimmed and that you have no little buggies.

My daughters were asked a lot about the birds they were using. What kind of comb, what it's good points were, what it's bad points were. What our feeding routine was. Then the questions got more complicated. My older was was asked what kind of gasses a chicken produces! Know your basics....especially about your bird, and you should do fine. Good luck to you and Flufferfeet.
