I breed lots of crosses with interesting features (beards, crests, lacing, spangles, frizzles & patterned) but I think my favourite feature is those muffs - they are so endearing. Here are a selection of my peeps:

I realize this thread is older but I just had to tell you how much I love your birds. I am trying for colored egg layers with crests and beards and feathered sharks. I will be breeding Ameraucana, Cochin, mottled houdan and other various breeds. The more color and pattern the better. If you have eggs this spring 2019 maybe you and I can swap.

It's never too late for positive feedback. Too bad I live in Canada so I won't be shipping eggs. Have you checked out my blog? URL is in my signature/about author. I just started it a couple of weeks ago and am working out the tweaks but I hope you'll find something interesting there.

I didn't realize you were in Canada. BRRRR. I lived in Chicago all my life before I moved here for a new beginning. I prefer the heat to the cold.
Continue the fun work of breeding those lovely birds. I can't understand people who will not think out of the box. If it is not "show quality" or a production hybrid or a CornishX or any familiar breed, it simply confuses them. Mix breeds are considered "mutts" whereas I look at them as genetic wonders. Viva la "mutts".

I don't live in 'brrrr' country. I live in the pacific northwest on a small island (pop. 4000) off the coast of British Columbia in a temperate rainforest. Rainy, mild winters, very little snow and hot, dry summers. And yes, I think crosses are the most interesting.
