Shredded Hardwood Mulch in the coop?

Good Morning. I'm in the process of making my first chicken coop. It's going to be in a barn with a wood floor. I'm trying to decide what type of bedding I should use. I have access to a lot shredded hardwood mulch, but haven't found much about it as bedding in coops. Or, I was planning on pine shavings or sand. Any suggestions, preferences?

I use euclyptus mulch in mine when I trim my tress and buy pine or palm mulch when I run out of free stuff.
