I hope I'm posting this in the right place!?

I use a shredder for important docs that I don’t want to throw in the trash. So, I have a trash bag full of shredded paper. I use the deep litter method in my coop. Can I mix it in there?? What do you all think?

I've heard others say that it is not a good idea as most office paper is non-absorbent and will get slick when wet. It may work as a nice nesting material, though.

You can mix it in with the bedding and poop AFTER you clean the coop. I put my shredded paper in my composter or in my planting beds. Does great at keeping things light weight and moist but not sopping wet.

I also put little handfuls here and there for the birds. Robins go bonkers for it in next building.

I appreciate all your input! Thanks!!
