Well I can get some shrimp heads all frozen up and ready to be thrown to my chooks... I have to trade eggs for this... as the shrimp heads are waste I'm going to ask a pound an egg...

Is this a good cold treat for my chickens?

Yes, and you can make some fabulous shrimp stock for soups, stews and gumbos, too! But do let them thaw a bit and give them the sniff test first. If they stink, put them in the garden.

BUT..... be aware that any missed scraps or exposed pieces will attract predators to either the garden or the chicken run area.

Good thoughts. They would be that days fresh catch so they shouldn't stink... I'll let everyone know how it works out when I do this.
