Hello, Flock Friends!
My name is Aly, and I’m new to BYC! I’m in the last stages of my first incubation lockdown, ever, and I’m working with Coturnix Quail. (Eek!)
My question is about shrink wrapping. Can a baby only get shrink wrapped IF there has been a pip made in the shell, or can this happen without a pip present? I had a temp spike occur in my incubator this morning (
) , so I cracked the lid a bit to try to bring the temp down a smidge and misted the inside of the incubator, but now I’m wondering if I made a mistake?
I’m trying to be as hands off as possible at this point, but at 102 degrees, a bit of panic set in... Do you think any babies will pull through?

Thank you all so much for your thoughts!
~Aly
