JUST started what will be a long, painful deconstruction of my 7 x 8 building that's gonna be the girl's coop. Because it's taking SSOOO LLLOOONNG, I keep improving my plans. Has anybody ever built 'Real' shutters for their coop? You know, the ones that cover a window from the weather, and aren't put on for decoration only?
Would you recommend them?
Are they hard to mount on the outside?
Should I consider them for the West wall only?
Am I making more work for myself?
The building will be reconstructed pretty much as is, with one solid wall (North facing), West wall has 2 double windows, one of top of another, South wall has one double window and a full sized house-type storm door, and the East wall has one double window.
BTW, the ceiling/roof is 6 foot high at the door, climbs up to 8 foot at the apex, then slopes away (North) to 4 foot high.
Any thoughts will be appreciated because I'm currently stuck during the day by my computer, else I would be cleaning it out right now!!
