10 days ago we received 27 cuckoo morans from Murray McMurray Hatchery, so I think they'd be 12 or 13 days old now. One of them died after 2 days - just seemed weak, but now I have a sick little chick and I'd like to know what's wrong with it.

It's a bit smaller than the rest and not as developed, but it seemed fine until this morning. We noticed it was really lethargic and doesn't seem to be eating or drinking. We put it in it's own little box and have been feeding it sugar water, with a little mashed up food in an eyedropper. The wierd thing though is that it has a yellowish ooze building up on it's eyes. Any idea what's wrong with it? I want to make sure the rest of our flock is healthy.

TIA!

I would thing it is a infectious cold
so get with the antibiotic
and if chick has been drinking with the other chicks it will give it to them

I would treat with Sulmet, sounds like a double whammy. Coccidiosis can be treated with Sulmet, is there any blood in its stool? I have had chicks with out blood in stool. The next thing is that it could be a mycoplasma infection, all the US birds will test positive due to the fact that its not tested for nor required by the USDA.
Clear eyes out with a solution of tea water (1 tea bag, 1 cup water let steep until the water temp is cool enough to run over chicks eyes)
If the chick has a foul odor, you may need to cull, was your hands super well after handling this chick incase its a infection, you don't want to spred it to the other chicks.
Good luck to you and your chick!
