My 3-4 yo RIR got really sick. Very lethargic, dropped wing. Did not eat, drink or move, just laid with eyes closed tail up and moving it up and down. I thought she would be dead next day. I did all I had. I gave her a warm bath in case eggbound, gave her eprinex 0.5ml and tylan 0.1ml. the next day she was slightly more alert. Gave her tylan again and 1/2 aspirin for 2 days and today she is eating and drinking, takes few steps, tail down, slightly droopy wing, eyes more open than closed. Really amazing recovery from her dead appearing body. What do I do next? any thoughts?

I would get her drinking and eating, and give a couple of mls of poultry NutriDrench for 2-3 days as a boost. Have you added any new birds to the flock in recent months? A drooping wing might be from dehydration, an injury, or possible Mareks disease. Does she lay eggs? What do her poops look like? Have you had any experience with coccidiosis and giving Corid. Do you worm your chickens?

I have not added any chickens. I honestly don't know if she has been laying. I have 6 girls and never know which ones are laying. I do not worm them and have had no experience with illnesses in the past. Her wing looked better this evening. I am absolutely shocked, she actually left her hiding area and went to the coop with the others tonight. She is much more alert but still very slow to move much. I will hey the electrolyte drink, thank you for suggesting it. I guess I will stop the Tylan then? Thankful for your input!
