My family and I own and raise pet chickens, and though this has happened before I still dont know how to help my sick bird.
Ginger, one of a newer chickens, not yet a year, new Hampshire red, and this morning when we let the rest of the birds out to run in the yard she stayed in the pen.
right now shes barely breathing and weve have to force water to her beak with a dropper, hold her and pat mucus out of her lungs.
her poop is a green yellow and weve given her treated water but she wont eat, won't drink and hasnt layed before.
what do i do? I dont want ger to die like the last ones who got sick a couple years ago.
