Hello my hen just all of a sudden started acting funny, we thought she was egg blind but that wasn’t the case after examining her we saw her crop was huge so assumed it was impacted crop, we seperated her and she has drank electrolytes and saturday we picked her up and she threw up a lot she is still weak but peeking back up a little. This morning I got up and found this weird thing on her bottom, looks like an egg that hasn’t formed, has anyone ever seen this? She seems more alert now but still not eating I’m probably going to let her walk around outside some today, we have heat advisory here so don’t want to over heat her to much.

Looks like a twisted up membrane.

I would give her calcium. 1 Caltrate once a day for 3 days.

Is her crop emptying? If not, then treat her for sour crop. Often crop symptoms are due to an underlying condition. Reproductive disorders can commonly cause a crop to slow.

Any bloat or fluid in the abdomen below her vent between her legs?

I would let her outside at least for a while. I generally leave my birds with the flock unless they are getting picked at. But hot weather is stressful, so letting her out early with her flock may perk her up a little, then keeping her in during the hottest part of the day will help reduce stress.
