Sick chicken

I have not stomach tubed a chicken in awhile. I hear some people say to put the tube on the left side to reach the crop, I obviously know not in the middle because of the trachea going to the lungs. But which left side? The chicken’s left side, or you looking straight on at the chicken left side, which is really the chickens right side. Like this pic?

A bird's esophagus is on *their* right side. When I tube, I insert the tube on their left and aim it diagonally across their tongue to their right and down their esophagus.
