Sick chicken.....

My hen has been acting strange for the last week or so. She has increasingly been fluffed up stays separated from the other chickens. I thought she may be broody but isn't laying or staying in the nesting box--yesterday found her wedged behind a feed barrel in the coop. I have brought her in the house in a crate and she is moving positions but don't see her eating or drinking. She makes no noises or growls as if she were broody. Not sure what to do as I am a new chicken owner and have only have three hens and one rooster since last summer. Any suggestions?

Check and see if she is egg bound. there are a bunch of threads that tell you exactly what to do. Good luck! Terri O
