sick chicken??

We lost one of our RIR's today. They are 4 days old. I also have a rock that does not move much. should I seperate the one I think is sick and not going to make it?? I was told that it is normal for not all of them to make it?? Thanks much!!

Did you have them shipped? Yes, often times it is expected that up to 20% may not make it, due to stress of shipping or just innate physical problems. If the rock is getting picked on or stepped on, I would definitely separate it. Or if you're monitoring it (see see if it's eating/drinking/pooping) I would separate it. But if neither of these is the case, I would leave it.
You can try a little sugar in it's water, and tempt it to eat with chopped up boiled egg. I hope the little gal/guy makes it.

we got them from the feed store (Dells). the RIR did not look like there was anything wrong that I noticed. Not like the rock that doesn't look active. Which i may just be freaking out over nothing because my husband and son say it is active it just happens to be that every time i look at her she is sleeping. (not to mention when they sleep they look like they are sprauld out dead haha) I'm still new so i will let you know how it goes. thanks for the feed back
