Sick chicks, parasites, coughs, chick died, need help :(

oh wow, thanks for all the help everyone...

today I lost another silkie chick

it didn't even seem that sick compared to the other one, i can't believe it died that fast

It was fluffed up and stayed by itself and seemed somewhat interested in food but then wasn't eating... everyone else *seems* okay except my special polish chick who still seems sick when she is resting

She didn't seem to have any breathing problems like the others, do you think the lice killed her?

I have the chicks on Purina Start and Grow... is that an okay feed? Would this be considered a mash or a crumble?

I bought some DE, will that help with lice? I will look into Sevin Dust, can I use Sevin Dust on hens that are laying eggs that I eat? I just have 1 hen and she roams the property but I'd like to treat her too. Should I get the spray for pet caged birds then for the chicks? Will it be okay to eventually eat the eggs from the chicks down the road if I use these products on them?

I don't have a coop yet, we are still in the planning process of building it, the chicks are in a kiddie-pool filled with aspen shavings on my screened patio...

Ugh I don't know what to do about the respiratory thing for my poor polish...
