We have an Sporting Cocker that is 7. About 5 months ago we added chickens to the backyard in a coop. They are in their most of the time. About 8 weeks ago our dog Murphy started having diarrhea. She has had it ever since. We have been to the vet 2x and have been on a few rounds of medication. We switched her to a strict low fat sensitive stomach diet to try to get her system right with no success. Some feedings she skips which is unheard of for her. We also have a compost close to the coop that she is always interested in. Do you think this could have anything to do with the chickens?

Thanks in advance.

She's eating wonderful 'stuff', and, as 21hens already mentioned, fence her out of it!
If she's also eating chicken feed and poo, keep her separate from the coop and run also.

Good point about the chicken feed......my dogs are overly interested in the feed when I bring it home.

My dogs are gracious helpers at cleaning up chicken poop, especially cecal poop. The only feed they bother is the mash. Your pup’s stomach could be very sensitive to the new “appetizers.”
