Hey y'all,
I have a sick baby (actually he is about 4 and 1/2 months old). Yesterday I noticed that he was off to himself behind the coop. When I picked him up he felt lighter than usual, and I noticed that he was lethargic. I let him stay inside away from all the other ducks and chickens. He is drinking when I put a bowl of water to his bill, and he has eaten, but not much. I tried looking to see if he had an injury and started parting his feathers when I noticed that his underneath the top layer, it looks like he has severe dandruff (best analogy I could think of). He hasnt been preening himself recently either. I checked did some research and learned about the uropygial gland. When I started feeling around that area, he got really pissed when I touched the spot where it's located. It didnt look infected from what it could tell, but he didnt give me a good chance to check, either. Any suggestions?

Do you have other Ducks? Do you provide a water container to dunk its head? What feed are you using? Is it living with chickens?

The first pic is of his poop (obviously), the second is of the dry dandruff looking skin, and the third is where the back of his head and neck look different, and the fourth pic is of his uropygial gland
