One of my ducks is pretty unlucky- with numerous health problems. First of all whenever she was young/duckling her feet were almost turned- inward. And she had/ has difficulty walking. (We got brewers yeast to try and help this) A few months ago she had gotten sick/ injured and it’s almost like her feet would not work… her legs would collapse and she would flap her wings in panic and occasionally flip on her back. While this was happening she did not eat anything for days. which is unusually because she is pretty obese… During that time we almost had to force feed her. After a few weeks she had gotten better for some time- but I’ve noticed that she has been sleeping with her head down(I will insert picture below) and I haven’t been getting any eggs from her at all- it’s been about a week. And I know she doesn’t have long to live but is there anything I can do to help? Thanks

Get some liquid vitamin b complex. It has a higher dosage of niacin than brewers yeast along with some other b vitamins that can only b helpful. It will say injectable, but you dont have to inject it. You want to put 1mL on a treat or food that she will eat. You can put it in her mouth, but not directly down the throat as she could aspirate.

I agree with the above comment. Pekins require more niacin and brewer's yeast simply will not cut it especially for a Pekin. The issues you listed that your duck has been having so far are all caused by a severe niacin deficiency which is not a death sentence unless it is not taken seriously and treated with a correct amount of niacin. Please get your duck on a B complex asap. As far as your duck being "obese" Pekins are a large breed and a duck being overweight is very rare. If your duck has been having mobility issues it's entire life and not eating for periods of time there is a high chance your duck is actually underweight. To know what your ducks condition is pick your duck up and feel for the breast bone. A truly overweight duck you will barely be able to feel the breast bone or not feel it at all.
